First Visit Expectations

We recognize that most patients appreciate knowing what to expect during their first visit with us. Below is an overview of what your first visit to V Smile will look like.

Our team will start your appointment by asking you some questions about your medical and dental history. Certain medical conditions or medications can impact your treatment plan, so we will also ask you to list any medications, vitamins, and supplements you are taking and their dosages.

Dr. V will then perform a comprehensive oral exam. This may include x-rays and a non-invasive oral cancer screening. If no signs of periodontal disease (gum disease) are present, one of our hygienists will continue with a routine cleaning. If we do notice signs of periodontal disease, we may ask you to reschedule the cleaning portion of your appointment to allow more time for a thorough cleaning. 

Once your exam is complete, Dr.V will discuss her findings with you. Together, you will create a treatment plan that best fits your desires while giving you a healthy smile.
